The next position group of our rankings are the Cornerbacks. This group contains both top returning upperclassmen, plus talented young guys that we think will take a big step forward next season.

Here’s our Top 20:

1 Will Johnson (Michigan): The stud DB is considered the consensus #1 Corner going into the season, and would’ve likely been a Top 10 pick if he was eligible for the NFL Draft.

2 Travis Hunter (Colorado): Travis is best known for his dual-threat ability at WR and CB, but his strong side is definitely the defensive side of the ball. His clutch performances against TCU showcased his ability as both a coverage 1-on-1 Corner, and as an athlete capable of making plays.

3 Benjamin Morrison (Notre Dame): Morrison is considered as the definition of a lockdown corner. He’s almost always tasked with covering the other team’s Star WR, and delivers. This thread reveals his dominance, consistently holding the top College Football WRs to their lowest yardage totals of the season.

4 Cobee Bryant (Kansas): Considered as one of the stars of the KU program’s resurgence in the last few seasons, Cobee is returning in a quietly stacked DB Room. Cobee & Mello Doston may be the best DB Duo in the nation next year.

5 Denzel Burke (Ohio State): Burke’s a rare example of a player who has played extensively since the beginning of his college career, despite looking shaky at the start. However, this past season, his play took a big step forward. He was projected as a 2nd Round Draft pick if he had declared, and that stock should only go up next season.
